Broughton is on the eastern side of Milton Keynes close to Junction 14 of the M1 motorway and Willen Lake.
Most of Broughton is now developed with some housing yet to be completed over the next year. The local centre and school have now been completed.
The Atterbury employment area is yet to be developed.
Completion works are now underway, virtually all the highway works are complete and lighting, white lines and signage will follow on in early summer. Lighting for the bridge over the V11 will be undertaken as part of the works to complete Caven Way. The summer will also see the bridge over the brook painted and benefit from new lighting.
You can find out specific information about the Broughton Pavilion project by visiting this link.
We are working with the Parks Trust to complete as much of the work in the linear park, but the area near the village, adjacent to McCann's housing site may be delayed until next spring.
The planning application for the allotments is just about ready for submission and we would expect nearby residents and the Parish Council to be consulted towards the end of the month. Plans for the allotments will be available from the Parish Council.
Finally, there are some mounds of spoil in Atterbury left from previous construction. These will be removed shortly after Easter to enable completion of the linear park and handover to the Parks Trust.
The last homes are due to be completed in 2010/11. Final road, footpath and landscape works are to be completed in 2010.
