Central Business Exchange III (CBX III)

Location
CBX II is located next to Central Business Exchange (CBX) I and II in block C3 between Avebury Boulevard and Midsummer Boulevard, Milton Keynes.
Description

Phase One - The Hub is now complete and comprises:

  • Two hotels: a 4-star equivalent hotel, Jury’s Inn 279-bed hotel, and a 3-star equivalent Ramada Encore 159-bed hotel
  • 484 one and two bedroom apartments, including 145 affordable homes
  • A public square with a water feature, public art and surrounding bars and restaurants
  • Phase 2 along Avebury Boulevard will be a commercially led development commencing in 2010.
Development Stage

Phase One - The Hub was formally opened by Her Majesty The Queen on 29 November 2007.

Phase Two - Building 1200, in phase two, has detailed planning consent for 5,000 sq m of offices, with retail units below. The balance of phase two is still to be designed in more detail. No work has yet commenced on Phase Two.

Start Date

 February 2005.

Completion Date

Phase One completed in June 2008. 

Content of Phase 2 has yet to be determined, but it likely to focus on offices, with some ground floor retail and possibly a further hotel.

Discharge of Planning Conditions - Town and Country Planning (Amendment) Regulations 2008
