The development control function is delegated to a Planning Sub-Committee.
Its role is to determine all planning applications submitted to Milton Keynes Partnership as Local Planning Authority and to work with the Council and other adjoining Authorities to co-ordinate planning strategies and address planning issues in respect of the growth of Milton Keynes.
The Planning Sub-Committee meets on a monthly basis and meetings are open to the public. Members of the public, Parish Councils and local interest groups can register to speak to address the Committee prior to the meeting.
Agendas for the Sub-Committee meetings are available five days before the meeting, and minutes are published seven days after the meeting.
Questions or statements in relation to agenda items at a forthcoming committee meeting need to be received by the Secretariat in writing before 12 noon two days prior to the meeting. The Secretariat can be contacted by mail at the address shown on the Contact Us page or by email, developmentcontrol@hca.gsx.gov.uk

HCA boundary signs in Milton Keynes
We have recently been placing signs on the boundaries of land owned by the HCA in Milton Keynes to remind people that there is no public right of access to this land. In the current market it may be some time before development takes place and it is important to remember that the land is privately owned even though roads and footpaths may pass through it. As a land owner we are obliged to ensure that anyone who ventures onto our land is aware that it is private land; signs may also be used to advise of any hazards on a site.
When development proposals come forward for our land, these will be considered as part of Milton Keynes Council's planning process, with full public consultation and debate.
