This is an exciting time for Milton Keynes. After an extensive period of planning for the successful growth of the city we are now moving forward with the delivery of new homes, community facilities, offices and other commercial premises, together with infrastructure to ensure that we are adding to the success of the city.
The changing economic climate means that we are having to consider new and different ways to face the challenge of delivery. We are confident we can face this challenge. At Milton Keynes Partnership we will be working closely with colleagues from the newly established Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), the national Housing and Regeneration Agency for England. The HCA will be focusing on creating opportunities;

HCA boundary signs in Milton Keynes
We have recently been placing signs on the boundaries of land owned by the HCA in Milton Keynes to remind people that there is no public right of access to this land. In the current market it may be some time before development takes place and it is important to remember that the land is privately owned even though roads and footpaths may pass through it. As a land owner we are obliged to ensure that anyone who ventures onto our land is aware that it is private land; signs may also be used to advise of any hazards on a site.
When development proposals come forward for our land, these will be considered as part of Milton Keynes Council's planning process, with full public consultation and debate.
